Little Marlene Kenison grew up in a broken home. Her only source of happiness, a backyard she could roam. Mom and dad were strapped for cash. They couldn't buy her toys. She played with rocks and twigs and stuff out back with the boys. One day, she found a tambourine and she banged it on her hand. The name, it stuck. With a little luck, one day she'd start a band. Marlene Tambourine. Marlene Tambourine. Marlene Tambourine. On she went to college, but she didn't too far. She dropped out and started singing on stage at Galway's Bar. Late one night, a well dressed man said he wanted to know, if she would take a chance with him to go and play a show. "I've got a drummer and bass player. All we need's guitar." Right next to her booth, a face from her youth, the axe man, Jimmy Starr. A Chicago rock and roll group just trying to make their mark. They played ninety-nine shows from Riverdale up to Rogers Park. They sold out any venue. Every night an encore. And little Marlene Kenison ain't so little anymore. After working and gigging across the map, they got a real chance. You should've seen that tambourine queen shake and dance. Marlene Tambourine. Marlene Tambourine. Marlene Tambourine. Marlene, this girl ain't a drag. Tambourine, she's got this in the bag. Marlene, it ain't no mystery. Tambourine, she'll go down in history. Marlene Tambourine.

Getaway 03:57
I watched the traffic pass me by as I waited in that dull cafe. "She's not coming," said the waitress. To think that I was so afraid of just wanting to say how beautiful you looked today. You never showed, but I won't let it go. I would do it all again. Tell me where and when. I won't let you be the one that got away. I watched the traffic pass me by as I waited outside of the bar. "She's not coming," I said to myself as I slowly walked back to the car I just wanted to say how beautiful you looked today, but you never showed. So I'm letting go. I did it all again. Every now and then I'll see you as the one that got away. I'm watching traffic pass me by, as I sit in the same dull cafe. Sipping coffee, swapping stories when I look up and see your face. I just wanted to say how wonderful I feel today. 'Cause you never showed I let you go. I would do it all again. Ask me how I've been. You'll find I am the one that got away.

La Carambada 06:56
In Queretaro, a legend was born as a woman sat alone to mourn when the general called the rifles to rise. Through her pleas for love and mercy, bringing about much controversy, she witnessed the life fade from her lover's eyes. And so she ran. She made a plan. They'll reap what's sown. She will be known. La Carambada! She's just seventeen years old, but no armada would take her from her goal. Alone she rode the Mexican planes, relieving men of their mortal chains and whatever money that they possessed. Soon gathered her band of thieves, sharp and brutal like the knives up their sleeves, but their hearts bled for the oppressed. They'd give some gold to sick and old. The poor acclaimed. They knew the name. La Carambada! For nearly twenty years, her shunned armada became Mexico's fears. She wanted out, but they disagreed. One final job, and then they would let her leave. They were to abduct a very wealthy planter, but amid the noise, the chatter, the banter a traitor planned a devious scheme to get them caught. The police prepared themselves for their one shot. Both traps were set. All were ready for war. La Carambada rides once more. La Carambada! The lights are growing dim! Was your cruzada worth it all for him? La Carambada, is this the end? La Carambada! Let the curtain descend! In Queretaro, my legend began a long twenty year span of terror, thievery, and strife. Then one night, my legend died when my partner took my side and gave up everything for my life. Because she chose to don my clothes. She saved my soul. She made me whole again.

From what I can tell, my face is black and blue. From what I can tell, I'm missing my left shoe. I'm sitting in the back of Sheriff John's car. From what I can tell, a fight broke out at the bar. From what I can tell, my jeans are covered in dirt. From what I can tell, my knuckles really hurt. And my shirt is wet and it reeks of beer. From what I can tell, I have to get the hell out of here. From what I can tell, I'm on my way to jail. From what I can tell, my wife won't pay my bail. Well, the drunk tank's where I'm sleeping tonight. From what I can tell, well maybe I started the fight.

Lullaby 01:07
It's time, once again, to say goodnight. The stars are out. The moon shines bright. The sweetest dreams you've ever known, they wait for you in bed at home.
6.
Last call! It's time, once again, to say so long. To go to bed where you belong. So tip your servers and pay your tab. Don't be stupid, stupid. Just call yourself a cab. See you tomorrow. Same time, same place. So take that sad look off your drunken face. Raise your cocktail and raise your brew and sing along, 'cause this one's for you! For the laughers and the criers. For the honest and the liars. The back alley rumblers. The high-heeled stumblers. The barstool snoozers. Sports team losers. The man with the answers. And the terrible dancers. One more time! For the laughers and the criers. For the honest and the liars. The back alley rumblers. The high-heeled stumblers. The barstool snoozers. Sports team losers. The man with the answers. And the terrible dancers. This song is for you all! The lullaby for last call! So please leave the bar! Get out.

Recovery 04:43
A crystal blue canvas with painted white patterns. No one in my place in the sky. Thinking of days gone by. Drifting downstream, verdant plains til horizon. Sunlight kisses the riverbank. I've got the good lord to thank. Crimson illumination, waving from the hearth. Awakened by the crackle of embers, on a frigid night in December. A cup of tea, made fresh for me, but no brewer is around. From down the hall, I hear the sandman's call, where my lover can be found. Will she wait for me in eternity? Or at least til I arrive? No love is truer than me and my brewer, my darling wife and I. How in the world did I get so lucky to have this life? Yeah, I'm a sentimental old fool in the night, but I think that's alright.

Lady in Red 04:16
In my darkest times, she comes to me with words so sinfully sweet. Those perfect lips utter promises that deliver me to my sleep. And here she is again, by my side, to lead me into total bliss. With closed eyes, she leans in and takes me away with a kiss. Lady in red, get out of my head. The time for words is done. Lady in red, get out of my head. I'm falling hard and falling fast, enticed by her lustful mystique. The hills and valleys of her body are stunning and unique. This enchantress had won me over with just the sound of her voice, but after this last night together it appears that I have no choice. Lady in red, get out of your head, and say you'll marry me. Lady in red, get out of your head. Something's wrong. Something's missing. I've never felt this way before. It's like I've lost part of my soul. We were fine. We were kissing. Then you touched my chest once more and now I feel so very cold. Please don't do this to me. I thought that we were meant to be. You were supposed to be my wife. Now I'm begging for my life. Lady in red, get out of my head. You're tearing me apart inside. Lady in red, get out of my head. Lady in red, get out of my head. You're breaking my heart in two. Lady in red, get out of my head. Lady in red, get out of my head. You're killing me. Lady in red, get out of my head.

Circus 05:31
Come one, come all into a world where things aren't as they seem. A place of joy. A place of fun. A place for childlike dreams. Where you need not worry or care about what others might think or say. So, come one, come all. Please, bring your friends. Come join me upon the stage. Step right up, into the nightmare. The screams all blend into the night air. When the big top calls your name, you'll regret that you ever came. Fire-breathers and monstrous things. Sword-eaters and three red rings. Welcome to the void of all things real. Come on, then. Let's hear you squeal. In the circus of mayhem, your fears make you face them. Anxiety can't be outrun. So surrender your mind. Child, in time you will find, Your hell has only just begun. Born from the Roanoke founders blood. We are the servants of the devil's flood. This dark parade will never end. Chaos follows when we descend. I'm emcee, but you're the host. We feed where we are needed most. You're fulfilling a greater purpose by joining us in this circus of mayhem, your fears make you face them. Anxiety can't be outrun. So surrender your mind. Child, in time you will find, Your hell has only just begun. In the circus of mayhem, your fears make you face them. Anxiety can't be outrun. So surrender your mind. Child, in time you will find, Your hell has only just begun. In the circus of mayhem, your fears make you face them. Anxiety can't be outrun. So surrender your mind. Child, in time you will find, Your hell has only just begun.

Blind 06:25
Oh honey, don't be mad at me. Don't take the kids. It's half past three. You know I didn't mean what I said. So can we just go back to bed and sleep this stupid fight away? We'll be alright. Just promise me this: don't leave. I want to put all of this madness behind me, but with every mistake this weakness defines me. Can't you see the demons in my mind? Oh father, don't be mad at me. I know I'm not the son you wanted me to be. Sweet mother, please watch what you say. You know that I bruise too. I just want you to stay with me, by my side. Please, will you be my guides through this hellish fever dream? I want to put all of this madness behind me, but with every mistake this weakness defines me. Can't you see the demons in my mind? I've just got to unwind. It's okay to be mad at me. Just remember I'm sorry. Though I can't explain my past behavior, this addiction has been my savior. Life is clear at last. A new frontier to chase, embrace. I'm born again. And now I've put all of this madness behind me. I'm trying one more time. My weakness won't define me. Can't you see the demons in my mind? Can't you see the demons in my mind? Can't you see the reasons that you're blind?

Mountains 03:40
Gazing skyward into what seems like infinity. Praising my works, I'm not worthy of divinity. 'Cause I'm just a man. That's all I can be. I don't blame you. Nobody can see all my anxiety, my past transgressions, hidden addictions, unhealthy obsessions. Though I can't help feeling weak, I know I must reach that peak. But every step forward seems two or three hundred back. Oh Lord, I feel the weight of my world'll make me crack. I have to scale the slope, but hope and fear makes war within. Gotta climb the mountain. Just climb the mountain. Focused on it. Keep yourself moving and you'll succeed. Snow kissed summit, will you give me the peace that I need? Yes I have faith. It's taken awhile. Step after step and mile by mile. All of this doubt and all my apprehension, slowing me down on my path of ascension, shakes my beliefs to the core, but that hasn't stopped me before. God, how I think about looking down from the top. So tired, weary, but knowing then I could stop. Every inch closer is in itself a victory. Overcome all the pain. Conquer all the misery. Leave all the fear behind. Just find the hope that lies within and climb the mountain. Just climb.
